Compound sentences are formed when two or more simple sentences are joined.
Example:
My dog is not popular with the neighbours. My dog scares the postman away.
My dog is not popular with the neighbours, because she scares the postman away.

Find a weather-image. Write an acrostic poem to describe what it means to you.
Read the acrostic poems of your classmates and comment on what you think it means, what you like about it, or how it makes you feel.
EXAMPLE

Disturbing the peace
Electrical nergy gone wild
Reverberating all around
Success Criteria:
You will be successful if:
- you have brainstormed words that may help you write your poem.
- you poem is about something weather-related, for example, winter, spring, snow, etc.
- all lines in the poem should relate to or describe the poem.
- you have reworked your poem.
- you have proofread your poem.
- you have commented on at least one your classmates’ poems.
